Everyone is having babies… and I am so excited, as I mentioned in Crystal’s maternity session I love love love the miracle of childbearing and childbirth. I feel so honored that Cherise asked me to capture her in this joyous stage in life. Cherise is due any day now with a little girl. I can no wait to meet baby “A” who is lined up to have her newborn photos taken… This particular session we headed out to The Botanical Gardens in Memphis, the day was gorgeous the sun was glowy, and Cherise looked gorgeous…

When Crystal came to me for her maternity session she wanted something a little bit different. we cam up with idea of bringing my (1970s) bed into a field and going from there. I accidentally forgot the comforter for the bed … but I think they came out great anyway.
Thank you Crystal for allowing my to capture you in such a fabulous stage in life…

We have quite an underground artist community here, but not with the photographers.  Which is not cool :( Good friends of mine Savannah and Phillip Kenney brought up a brilliant idea… Why not have an open invitation for local photographers (wedding,portrait, fashion) to get together and mingle.

The purpose of these meetings is not to learn the secrets of others or even to talk about photography but to create a community that is nonexistent in Memphis.

Our first meeting is  Thursday, February 4th,2010 at 7:30 pm
