We met the first day of school… on the bus she was a twin everyone was talking about. she had on animal print pants.. and I immediately knew we would be friends.
she lived right across the street from me… We walked home almost everyday together. Talking about school. boys our dreams. She has been there for me since 8th grade. (9 years)
We laid on her shed during summer nights looking at stars… eating Taco Bell. talking about what we were going to be when we were older. We dreamed of traveling the world. joining the Peace core, our husbands, our children.
We grew up apart for a while but always stayed in touch.. weather she was in Germany hitchhiking her way through life, or I was getting married and starting a family. she was always there. Especially when it mattered most… We always seemed to get grounded at the same time, we made each other care packages with clothes and notes and would drop them off at each others window, so we wouldn’t get to bored. K.K. was emotionally there for me as I wept many times about not having a father… or when stupid boys would break my heart ( you know who you are… ) And After 13 hours of labor and extremely tired they brought me to my room and in walks my best friend.. my heart was so overjoyed…
Kierstin Amelia… thank you. for being my rock. my friend.. I am forever grateful for your friendship.
so on to the photos. A few weeks ago I got a call from K.K. saying that she and her b/f were coming through Memphis on their way back to New york.. We ll of course we had to throw a shoot together… It was hot, and muggy but she still rocked it.
All ideas and styling were done by Kierstin Amelia
We had so many outfit changes here is Part one of the shoot! There are many more to come.
xoxo Enjoy
